The Video Ad Tool allows merchants to upload video-based creative for their Affiliates. This new tool is distributed directly through the AvantLink network, rather than through a third party tool provider. Like with all our Affiliate tools, this results in a more efficient and standardized way for Affiliates to get the campaigns they need. The Video Ad Tool is packaged in one line of javascript.
This is the first network integrated video ad distribution system in the Affiliate industry. With it AvantLink merchants can upload any video ad content or product related tutorial using the following file formats: .avi, .flv, .mov, or .mpg. Once uploaded, the video ads will be available to Affiliates through the tool center.
Best Practice: Affiliates who feature product reviews on their sites should consider adding a short video ad about the product (or retailer who carries the product) to their existing content. Product or merchant-relevant video ads would be a great enhancement to any existing page or blog post.
